BIOGRAPHY

George is a world record-breaking explorer, endurance athlete and motivational speaker. To date, he has covered more than 2,000 miles on in the polar regions, including the world’s longest fully unsupported polar journey, crossed the North Atlantic Ocean in a kayak, and completed many other extraordinary expeditions/challenges around the world from the depths of the Amazon rainforest to the arid Sahara Desert.

George gets excited about encouraging others to embark on their own adventures and confront the challenge of the ‘unthinkable’. At IGO, George aims to inspire as many people as possible to take the leap and enter into an adventure that will undoubtedly change the way you look at life. On event, you can find George at the back of the pack making sure everyone makes it into camp that evening!

BEST PLACE YOU’VE EVER BEEN:

The sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia is spectacular place steeped in adventurous history and wildlife. With zero permanent residents, it is a wild place where mother nature rules the land with an unforgiving fist.

ONE PIECE OF KIT YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT IN THE WILD:

My spoon – I have an extra long handled spoon which lives in my top pocket (for easy access). It might sound menial and irrelevant, but my spoon signifies hot food and some of the most pleasurable meals I have ever had… from a packet obviously!
