We believe that anyone has the potential to take part in an IGO and have a wonderful team of experts at our disposal to help get you fit and ready to become part of the team.

IGO offer generic Training Programmes for both the Signature and Weekend Challenges:

We have also created the IGO Medical; a holistic approach to your preparation. This includes a full medical MOT, a gait analysis session and a meeting with a performance coach.

IGO has access to some of the best instructors for all the disciplines involved in our Challenges. They can help you learn a new skill or perfect existing techniques to make you more efficient and avoid injury.

Step 1:

Medical Assessment with Hugh CoyneYour consultation is designed to ensure you do not have any medical conditions that would prevent you from participating in an IGO and also to review your previous athletic experience. Involving a full review of your medical & training history, a look at your nutrition and diet, an ECG to ensure the electrical activity of the heart is normal, body composition analysis and more, it really is the full health MOT

Step 2:

Biomechanics Analysis with Joe LawrenceIn this session Joe will analyse your body's biomechanics, reviewing your gait and the potential for any injuries. Using slow motion scientific video analysis, Joe will help you implement technique changes and advise on appropriate footwear and exercises to improve performance

Step 3:

Performance Coaching with Sandy LoderBefore meeting with Sandy, we will ask you to complete assessments that will look at your judgement and decision making. This will also analyse wellness and coping, judgement and resilience. This helps identify any blind spots that might inhibit performance - both in adventure and in life - and prepare plans to help you overcome any unexpected adversity

Below is a list of IGO’s recommended trainers - both for overall fitness and the individual disciplines.
